I graduated from Chapel Hill High School in 1978.  I attended Tyler Junior College and graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1982

This is my first year in Whitehouse ISD and I am currently teaching 3^rd Grade  ELAR.

I began teaching at Tyler ISD, where I was teaching 4^th grade ELAR. 

Prior to teaching, I worked for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and the El Reno Police Department in Oklahoma.

I also owned and operated a daycare where I cared for special needs children while I cared for my own child with special needs.  

I also worked as a Teacher’s Aide and substitute teacher.

I love teaching!  When I am not at school, I like to play with my two dogs; “Duke” and “Sugar”.  I have 4 children and 3 great grandchildren that I love to hang out with!!  I spend my off time in Massachusetts and Oklahoma when I can.  I love to cook and work in my back yard flowerbeds!  I grew up in Chapel Hill where my mother taught for 40 years!  I have hundreds of books on my Kindle and personal library!  I also love to watch movies on Netflix!
